In the hush of twillight, I long to span the distance
A message sent, yet your reply lingers unspoken.
Days turn to weeks, the silence grows,
In the space between, my heart knows.

Once we laughed, shared secrets untold,
Now echoes of friendship feel distant and cold.
I wonder what changed, what pulled us apart,
Each moment without you weighs heavy on my heart.

I miss your laughter, your voice, your light,
The warmth of your presence that made everything bright.
If only I knew why you’ve drifted away,

I search for your shadow in places we knew,
But the warmth of your smile is lost in the blue.
